Eight years ago I worked for a company in two roles. I stayed in the first role for two years, then moved to the second role and stayed there for only 6 months because the economy was so bad that they could not afford to give me the training I needed.
Would you keep the second position on your resume to show movement/progression within the company, or just leave it off?
Keep the second position on there. Companies love seeing employees that have outgrown their jobs at prior companies. They may hire you with plans to groom you into higher level roles.
Candidate with 5 years of exp with more responsibility each year >>>> Candidate with 1 year of experience repeated 5 times.
