I side with the doubters on this one.

1. Why were you in Lost & Found, if not to steal something?
2. Did you steal something else?
3. I don't think they will call the cops because they haven't already done so and they had no reason to do you a "favor."
4. Even if you did not steal and never had any intentions of stealing, take this as a life lesson and move on.
5. Don't rummage through things that don't belong to you, or enter restricted areas without permission, and know that appearances count.
