Right to work has nothing to do with this. At all. I am guessing you mean "At Will". That said, unless she is in Montana, she can be fired for any reason, and at any time.

She isn't under a visa that is tied to her work situation at this point. That's not the issue. She's just thinking that she has more job security than I think she actually does here. I'm telling her that people are lined up to take her job, and she doesn't believe me.

As an employer there are a few areas that are completely in my realm of control that cannot be compromised upon.
Work schedules are one of them. Yes, people have sick days, vacations, and we need to be respectful of work-life balance. But my response if one of my employees comes to me and dictates a fundamental change in their employment terms would be to require them to submit a resignation letter immediately.
