I'm sure that I don't have to tell you that the economy sucks. It's hard out there for everyone. I got a degree in public relations two years ago and have been working as a freelance writer for the past two years. About a month ago, I started searching for full-time jobs because the freelance industry is not always dependable. I know it hasn't been that long, but I am tired of searching already. I've had three interviews (two phone) and no luck. I've just been searching online because you really can't pound the pavement anymore. I haven't just been searching for communication jobs either. I've also been looking for customer service, administrative, etc. jobs.
That is why I'm considering looking for a part-time job at some retail store or something for now. It seems like those jobs don't require 9 million interviews and a bunch of other ridiculous requirements. I have one client that I still write for, so that and a part-time job should be okay for me for at least a little while. What are your thoughts? Have you stopped looking for a high-paying job and started searching for something more simple?
