Does anyone still do this anymore to make money on the side? If so, feel free to PM me or post here about any legit companies. I need to make all I can these days!

Direct mail companies have machines that stuff standard envelopes. Hand labor is used for odd or unusual env. It's not a do at home thing.

I've never heard of any legit envelope stuffing jobs..

I run a side business which involves mailing things, and I can't fathom how paying someone else to stuff the packages would make things more efficient (not to mention the risk of mailing MY product to them to do the job).

There are legitimate envelope stuffing jobs.

Check out this video of a 2-person crew inserting 6,500 letters per hour.

The original poster did not require a work from home position. He was looking for legit companies, which is not from home.

If you want to do it from home for yourself, you are out of luck RW.

Of course, if you just want to find a job, there are many, many direct mail companies that use machines to churn out junk mail 24/7

Try

www.wahm.com

They have many work-at-home jobs, including telephone work, sales, customer service, etc.

Also, look into surveys.

www.inbox.dollars.com

www.cashcrate.com

there's many others, but those are 2 I use

also, try pinecone, if you can grab it. Its hard to find and apply for

none of the surveys will make you rich, but I pick up an extra $20--$30/month, which is something.

The WAHM board gives a variety of jobs that do actually pay something.just beware of scams!

I did it for a few months many years ago - privately. I can't even remember the name of the company. It was a husband and wife who printed the mailers and envelopes out in their basement, and I had to pick them up, stuff them at home, and drop them off. I found a used manual letter folding machine which helped.

This side job ended when there was a blizzard (and a restriction for non-emergency travel), a foot of snow on the ground and still coming down, and they got angry that I wouldn't risk driving the 20 miles to pick up the mailings in the storm or meet them half way. We had words, and they fired me.

OK, well it looks like the days of stuffing envelopes are over...& yes, WORKING AT HOME would be IDEAL!

Well, how about any other work at home things? Does anyone remember hw they had it where you could make earrings/jewlery or maybe other craft type items at home? That seemed to be tedious & quite a bit of trouble though.

Well, anything else guys?
