Chemist/biologist/microbiologist... Companies treat their science staff like excrement and pay them like it too. Most do anyways.

I thought about becoming a executive team leader at Target...no thanks. I don't like retail that much.

I'm looking into a different field...
this is retail everywhere, you ask anyone that works retail what is the worst part of the job and most will say dealing with customers. because remember the checkbook..... er creditcard.......er wallet...... customer is always so that means the employee is always wrong and low pay and crappy hours. oh and one other thing i think the the words unskilled labor should be stricken from our vocabularies. all honest work is a skill whether you shovel s**t or flip burgers.

The "best" occupations will be terrible if you have to interact with bad coworkers regularly, and the "worst" occupations will be fantastic if you have to interact with great coworkers or better yet, no coworkers on a regular basis.

Cab driver, which used to be a decent occupation and still is in London. Actor/actress unless you are a star. Cowboy is actually a rotten job though romanticized by Hollywood.

I have done it back when I was young wanted to save the world and gullible. Social Worker in a group home with violent, severally mentally disabled adults. With a degree $6 hour with no benefits. Before you complain about your retail try having your front teeth almost knocked out week two before I quit. That was the worst of the violent attacks I suffered there was about 5 in that two week span. I felt as bad for our neighbors. Living on the coast in nice house with a f'ing group home next door with people that are too dangerous to be free. Kharma worked out they were shut down.

But the difference today is... You don't even flip the burger at McDonalds anymore. These companies got smart. They realized if they could automate the job as much as possible, to the point where the amount of drink poured is out of the worker's hands, they could hire nearly anyone for the job... And pay as little as possible in the process. Get ready for the jobs of the future, and the little pay they will command.
