Currently in the process of trying to relocate to another city. I have my home on the market and currently employed. However been sending resumes out for postions in the city I want to move to. Well low and behold, I got a call back today regarding a potential postion. Didnt think it would happen with me being an out-of-state candiate. How can i explain my current situation, without shutting the door on the current opportunity, as well letting them to know to consider me for future opportunities.....

How soon would you be able to interview and accept a position? If it isn't within the next month, you shouldn't be sending out resumes. Unless it's the government, most private companies want to hire as quickly as they find the right candidate.

Why not just go to the interview? If they want you there sooner then get there sooner, rent a room in a house and make it happen, don't miss out on the opportunity OR don't interview for jobs until you are almost ready to be there.

How can I explain my current situation...
Your current situation is having a house that needs to be sold.
Unless you can afford to leave it behind (unsold) to fend for itself...
you'll have to tough it out with the full-time job you have now.
