You comment on that which you know nothing about. I drive a limo in Las Vegas. Limo drivers have alternate ways to make money, excluding drugs and hookers. A good Vegas limo driver can make 100k without even dealing with drugs or hookers. I doubt many taxi drivers earn near that. I imagine your doubt is a reflection of the lack of value you place on the job. Good drivers know how to make money. Plain and simple. Vegas is loaded with people willing to pay and tip very well for excellent service. I know many Vegas service people with degrees from quality universities that choose to work in Vegas' unskilled service industry because the money is excellent. You laugh. We laugh at those who do not know.

Being a little harsh on others ain't ya?
Anyway since some one just said the transporation market is saturated probably meant there is way way too many taxies and limos.
I remember reading in some book on statistics from the Chamber of Commerce that there are 14,000 taxies in Las Vegas, which is even more then NYC. That does seem like over kill. Do the poor saps who have to flag down a taxi here have to wait long?

When we left the airport via taxi to go to the Luxor, we waited in a very long taxi line (about 30-40 mins)... and leaving the hotel at 3:30am there was a bit of a wait for a taxi.. and from what I saw ppl were getting in those cabs quickly, there was always one pulling up.. seemed busy enough for a lot of cabs..
fo the most part you can't flag a cab here....they can't pick up on the strip.....have to go to the hotel front door and grease the doorman to let you in one......lot differant they when i used to drive one in my misspent youth
