Online retailer Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) is the latest company to announce it is hiring extra hands for the upcoming holiday season. The Seattle-based firm announced it is hiring 50,000 seasonal workers at its U.S. fulfillment centers.

Amazon currently employs over 20,000 people across its 40 U.S. fulfillment centers.

The jobs are actually through a staffing firm separate from Amazon and they typically only last 2 months.
