I would never have a job like this one because I hate heights.

Maintenance man: 'No one would take the job so I did'

The ropeway between Yushan village and the outside world is a simple affair.

A pair of thick cables are strung between two high cliff faces with a steel cage suspended below to carry people and goods in and out of the village.

Sounds like a fun job to me. If this was within easy commuting distance of where I lived, I'd apply for it in a heartbeat, especially if it's just a one-day a week job.
