I don't think Texas creates many jobs; I think it siphons jobs from other places as companies move there because of no state income taxes.

Maybe other states should look at what Texas and other states that are faring better in this economy and change their approach. Why would a company opt to be located somewhere and pay more in taxes when they can be somewhere that is more business friendly?

If jobs are moving to Texas, I don't think it's a big difference from "creating" jobs. After all, those jobs might have disappeared completely if they hadn't moved. More jobs available is more jobs available, even if I do have to agree with Rick Perry on *something*.

I read on a nurse forum that a lot of RN's from NY state are moving to Texas for work, to get initial experience. They have a good amount of RN openings at the new grad level.

Surprised NYC & Boston aren't on the list. Both areas are doing great -- actually no city in the northeast made the list..

I've heard in NY state new grads not finding work for over a year. Glad they found work after all of their training.
