This may not exactly be true. When I was displaced from a company, I did not have enough quarters put in in the state I was in. The state suggested I go after UI against another state where the prior employer was since I had 9 years of employment in that state. I was able to draw UI from there. It certainly is worth a try. This situation sucks...an offer was withdrawn for me and another candidate one time, but at least, I was already unemployed and didn't have to suffer the same situation you were in. Best of luck!

If the customer is not funding the position, I would not call what they did immoral. Sometimes terrible things simply happen, and no one is to blame.
