Hi! I currently work for a city agency and though I love the benefits/atmosphere/work, my pay sucks!! I will soon be moving to another location for several months (for a special project) and know personally that one of the employees that work there is moving by the end of the summer. I know I can do her work and I'm sure once I start working there, the supervisors will realize that as well..

My question is, how do I go about trying to get her position once she leaves? Do I talk to my supervisor and hope she understands why I want to transfer? Do I talk to her supervisor who I will be working with for the next several months? Or do I just play it cool and work my butt off in hopes that I will be recognized?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!
