If working at Walmart is a green job, than Obama delivered exactly what he promised. Other than that, then yea, he was blowing smoke as usual. What a let down of a president he has turned out to be.

I work in what I would consider as a "green Job". I was working as a electrical lighting designer out of college when construction was booming during the Bush years when we were inflating he construction bubble. I eventually got laid off after it burst. Now I work revamping out building lighting systems to newer greener technology by lowering the lighting systems energy substantially. This is done by lower wattage lamps, lighting controls, efficient ballasts, daylighting, etc. The new lighting systems are paid for by the savings the building owners acquire through energy savings. It isn't as fun as designing all new systems for buildings, but it pays well, and I would consider it a "green job"

There will be a lot of jobs out there by creating energy efficient buildings, use of solar power, transportation systems, cars, etc that will require a lot of engineers and technical people. The problem is one) we actually fall behind the rest of the world in this, and 2)the large corporations make it hard for smaller newer companies to start up, even in a capitalistic society. True capitalism is dead. This isn't a Obama thing either.
