Huh?!
I made minimum wage in 1969. It had just gone from $1.25 to $1.60/hr. I hardly think anyone could support a family on 40 hours of that (or more).

Males are back to 1968. Provide a link that shows household income is.

Women made around 10k on average in the 60's. The poster was referencing 1968.

Look around your kitchen; a blender or toaster cost MORE 35 years ago than now, before adjusting for higher wages now.

Airfares.same scenario.one did not see folks who were less than upper middle class on a 1970 flight much, if at all. It would cost SEVERAL weeks pay to go 1,000 miles ONCE. Now its perhaps one days pay at US median wages.
People have a hard time dealing with any stall in the increase of their lifestyle. You can find many that use boom years as the standard of lifestyle they deserve/need.

And when the corrections occur, they will blame everyone but themselves.

I don't know what is so hard to follow... When society demands everything be cheapened, they essentially marginalize their own value and existence along the way. You don't get something for nothing. If the worker want's to earn 20% more, the consumer must be willing to spend 40% more, with the inclusion of taxes.

Yes, it's much easier to blame a boogie man of sorts rather than utilizing reason and logic. That last capability happens to be what separates modern folk from cavemen however.
