Why not?

Even if they do not pay for your hotel room, it is only 16-20 days. $1200 bucks or so for a hotel is worth it without a doubt. Only reason I would pass on the job is if I had kids in school and had no one to keep them with while attending training

I guess it depends on what you're leaving at home... if you have kids with no other caretaker, as was mentioned above, that could be an issue. As for myself, the pets would be an issue - as I'd be looking at $40+/day for a pet-sitter. Otherwise, yeah I'd go for it!

Sure if you like the job I think it would be well worth it.

Hands down I would. The four weeks will come and go and then you'll be glad to have a job.

If I had kids I'd try to let them spend the four weeks with their grandparents or aunt and uncle or something. I'd come home for the weekends to see them. But it's definitely worth it for a long-time job. It's spending a bit of your time and money for a job and income in the long run. Definitely a good investment IMO.

Exactly. The experience you will get from the training alone would likely be a huge benefit to you down the road, even if you wind up moving to another company at some point in the future.

So what's the problem?

You have given no indication that this would be a hardship due to pets/family, etc., so why are you asking?
