At LTC facilities, there are many patients there who have no family or friends visiting them, they are abandoned, and all that Xmas music depresses any of them, reminding them all of the joyous Xmas's they had in the past, never to be repeated. In some respects, it's torture for them.

Pity the poor retail workers who have had to listen to Christmas songs for two months or more. I was in a bookstore before Halloween, and it was already on.
