I asked him for assistance with something and he stated that he was busy and I said to him-"you will need help tomorrow during your presentation and i hope you fall flat your face"
Then he ran to HR? I didn' know a grown man could be so sensitive at the job. I was so stunned today when the HR person said-
"i need to make an appointment to speak with you"
This is the shock of the year. I won't even look at that fool anymore

No, the HR person along with everyone else likes me and he is jealous and needed a way to feel better-lol
The only countdown going on is for him because he is a low performer and probably will fail at some point
So the HR person had to "chide" you to look like s/he is doing their job and no problems for you. It worked out, but don't get over confident that you can say anything anytime over there and get away with it.
Just ignore that guy from now on. Don't ask him for any help and then get mad because now you know there will be no help from him. Now you know what to expect. Let his non-team player attitude shine through.
Running to HR is just stupid. he should have faced him ( tvsp ) himself. If that does not fix the problem then go to HR. However, everybody looses their cools at some point . We don't know all the circumstances, so we should not be judging him.
