I have 3 weeks of vacation (sort of) contingent on getting someone to cover those days (I almost asked my employer if I could hire a temp) - no coverage, no vacation .... 6 sick days that heaven help me I use without the said coverage ....

I get 22 days a year, and I think 6 sick days (unverified) + some amount of verified sick leave. If I don't use my unverified sick days in a year, I get a bonus personal day. Plus we get a decent amount of holidays.

My husband currently gets 3 wks. vacation a year. However, he has a Corporate schedule where one wk. a month he has Mon/Tue--Sat/Sun. regular days off. We work his vacations around that week where he uses only 3 vacation days---Wed., Thurs., Friday. This way he actually has 6 wks. vacation a year. 8 paid Holidays, which he can in turn add to a wks. vacation and currently 84 sick hrs. When he is with the company 15 yrs (which will be 5 yrs. from now) he will then have 4 wks. vacation which we will turn into 8 weeks. They have a company policy use it or lose it, they don't have to ask twice.

This starts as you start employment, so after 1 month you will have 1 annual leave day that you can take.
10 days sick leave
10 days carer leave

annual leave can be accumulated - at the moment I have 12 weeks annual leave eligible (and 12 weeks sick leave). I can take up to 8 weeks at a time (although if I wanted more, my boss would probably approve it)

If you work at the same company for 10 years you are eligible for long service leave, which is an extra 3 months leave on top of any annual leave you might have.

Don't forget your annual leave bonus LOL

I really miss Aussie work "benefits" - sigh
