"there but for his grace go I" When is "thanks","thx", "np" too much time for an interviewer to send to an email. With the economy like it is, one should be careful that your not the one waiting for some sign of positive affirmation. Ever so slight, and YES I am VERY employed and have been for 17 years. I interview applicants all the time, and If I can make time for many lame jokes, and family pics i get via email, i certainly can make time to say "thanks"
I'd lose respect for an interviewer who said "thx" or "np" in an e-mail.
I keep picturing a routine where two people keep bowing to each other and don't know when to stop.
