Social Work or Higher Education Administration? (degree, job, salary, good)

It seems that there is a lot more turnover in social work, and a lot of burnout.
I think that it would take longer to find ahigher Education Administration position, but once you did it would offer more job security and less burnout. My guess is that it would also command a higher salary.
My advice would be higher ed. Social work pays ok in some situations (esp. here in PA), but I understand that nurses are being given social workers and therapist positions, edging us all out of the field. Not a good trend IMHO. But...I agree with the other poster. Higher ed may be tough to break into (you may have to start lower on the totum pole) but once your in, it's a good job to have.

It seems like more each day I am edging closer to Higher Education Administration. Push come to shove, if I hate it I can use my tuition discount to work on a Master's in Social Work.
