All I can tell you that Upstate NY knocks Wisconsin out of the park beauty wise. Far more impressive with the mountains and scienic beauty that the midwest just doesnt have to that degree. Certainly makes for better skiing. Fingers lakes and the Adriondack Mountains were something.
Wisconsin has its lovely areas and nice lakes too, but we just dont get that natural stunning scenery to the extent that NY (and other states)do.
Weather wise, it seems NY gets more snow, but less of the frigid cold.
I always found people in rural areas friendly/helpful. You get back what you give out.So, that was prettymuch the same in my experience.
Really like western and northern parts of the state. Was an independant owner operator and seen a lot of the country, betweent the two... I'll stay here.
Interesting thread! I was always curious about Upstate New York. Used to work for Lowes 1-800 extended warranty line and fixed many people up in that area with snow blower repair service. They get tons of snow up there.
