In May I'm coming to the US and need to get from O'Hare airport, Chicago, to Rhinelander. Is there a train or a bus route there? Can't find anything in the web

No train that is for sure....Unsure on buses as they have a buslines there but mostly for coach tours I think. Rhinelander has a small airport maybe jumper flight to there or Wausau and rent a car.

Here is the best way ..

go to wausau then rent a car to Rhinelander ... there is no bus or trains or airplanes in Rhinelander ...

or the better thing to do is if u have someone u know in Rhinelander ask him/her to pick u up from wausau ... its about less than an hour ride

good luck

The bus doesn't run to Wausau anymore either. I know Amtrack runs as far as Portage. There is a small airport in Rhinelander.

NOT QUITE--There is daily bus service from the GREYHOUND Bus Station in Milwaukee, to Wausau. The service is provided by LAMERS Bus Service. The bus departs Milwaukee at 2:30 PM and arrives at Wausau at 6:40 PM. From Chicago there is both Greyhound Bus Service and Amtrack train service to Milwaukee. ALSO NORTHWEST AIRLINES has service from Chicago O Hare International Airport to Rhinelander airport. Go to nwa.com for flight info.

Thanks!
Looks like it's gonna be a bus to Wausau, and then I'll have a friend pick me up there.

Good Luck to you. You can also re-check those bus schedules at www.Greyhound.com. They also list for the Lamers Bus Service.

Hoping not to confuse you, but Lamers Bus Lines terminal has a Mosinee address (Trailwood Ln, Mosinee, WI). Their terminal is located about 7 miles south of Wausau near the Cedar Creek Mall. So you might have to be picked up there as Lamers might not have a passenger dropoff point in Wausau. I'm not sure if they do so be sure to check on that.

If they walked and were dragging a dead horse, they would have made it by now.
