Seems a bit early for my liking. Anyone already see some flakes up north?

No flakes down here in Virginia. Sunny and 67 today.

I'm hoping I can be back home for the first snowfall of the year. I love how the snow sticks to the trees when the first snowfall occurs.

Better fine tune those winter driving skills again!

They are saying snow flurries today. It is gray and blustery. We have the wood burner going so it is toasty in the house. Can't wait for the colder weather. Our dog is still getting ticks. I am so sick of them. It is the end of October, they should go away!
Pulled up my garden. Put in some lettuce seeds and mulched them. I love to get early lettuce and I tried it last fall and we had lettuce by early May. Also planted garlic last weekend.

Very windy here by the lakeshore, too! The clouds are rolling by very fast, every once in awhile the sun peeks through. I have the inside door open but think I'll have to close it pretty soon.

I have a pot of marigolds on my front steps, they look great but this may be the end. We haven't had a hard frost but this burst of weather will change that!

Too early for snow, but I don't think it will stick. Next weekend is supposed to be decent so I'll head up to my sisters house for a few days. The top of Bay de Noc south of US 2 is called the "banana belt" but she still gets more snow than I do!

Extremely windy here in Appleton as well. We were going to rake leaves this afternoon to take advantage of the last city pick up but with the strong gusts, it's pointless.

We are expecting flurries overnight but nothing that will stick.

Quite windy in the Wausau Area. Good day to surf the net, bake cookies, and watch football. Rain is coming and going.

Very windy in Madison, too, and as we were loading groceries into the car just half an hour or so ago, it started precipitating. Some raindrops, but there was some solid white stuff mixed in as well. Didn't stick, of course, but I think we can say that the season is off to an early start.

We had mostly rain today but was a mix of snow and rain also. Talking 55-60 on Thursday though.

We just had a little snow shower. Nothing too bad. Nothing stayed on the ground but was clearly visible in the air. I'm sort of excited about winter this year with my 1st year shooting photographs. I hope to get some good Ice fishing shots.
