My family is moving back to East Burke County in about a month--we own a home in Connelly Springs, but we had moved away about 3 years ago for a job opportunity for my husband. Ultimately, the job didn't work out, and with the real estate market worsening over time, we were unable to sell the house and had to put renters in it. We are now evicting the 2nd set of renters and have decided to cut our losses and just move back. When we bought that house several years ago, we did not have kids and were not sure we were going to, so school systems were not on our minds. We did end up having children, and we will have two children to enroll in Ray Childers Elementary. Does anyone have any input on this school, or any of the other schools in East Burke? I have researched their websites, but would like some personal opinions if anybody has any. Thanks...

I have one child at Ray Childers Elem. and one at East Burke Middle. Both of these schools are great. Ray Childers does as much for the community as they do for their school. The school system is one of the reason that I stay in Burke County. I am sure your children will love it there. The entire staff is great!

I know some folks at East Burke Middle school and couldn't recommend a school or group of teachers more! It's a good school.

One thing I love about the Burke County education system is that they invest in the kids.. they build new schools.
