How did he ever dupe people into electing him in the first place? It was clear he has been devoid of a fully functioning brain for years before his election.
Now, that's the $64 million question, isn't it?

He lied. A lot. People believed him.

His IG is still active, in case anybody wants to see pictures. Bio says: "Public figure Amateur Chef
Professional American Former Congressman and servant of the people".

Cawthorn hints at political comeback. Perhaps he will have more luck in FL.

According to the article, Cawthorn’s ex is engaged to a Brazilian underwear modell. Evidently, NC law requires couples to be separated for a year before they can divorce. Allegedly, Cawthorn and ex have not filed separation. I sense a movie in the making..

Humm, must be a joke in there somewhere about going from Liar, liar to underpants on fire!

I thought NC was pretty strict on filing a Separation Agreement and then spending 1 year apart.

Filing a legal separation is not required.

Quote:
In North Carolina, couples must live separate and apart for at least one year before filing for divorce. (N.C. Gen. Stat. § 50-6 (2023).)

Generally, "separate and apart" means that the spouses must live in separate residences and not have marital relations. At your final divorce hearing, you'll need to show that you've met this requirement. Typically, your testimony (under oath) will be enough. But if there's any question about the issue, you may present other evidence, such as your separation agreement or testimony from other witnesses.
Despite the above, I think it's poor taste to parade an engagement like that while still married to someone else.

Did not know that! Guess i don't really need to know that. The next separation at my age will have something to do with a box of sorts and some dirt on top. LOL

I didn't know it either until I looked it up. I'm with you concerning the box & dirt.

Per the article, he said he made a mistake, but evidently he had done it before. Not a very big fine…
