Seeking vibrant progressive Judaism in Asheville (retirement, best, Jewish)

As yet another dimension of our search for a retirement destination we seek vibrant Jewish life. I have contacted a synagogue or two but am also interested if anyone knows whether there are havurahs active in or around Asheville ( for anyone curious, these are informal groups which meet to celebrate holidays and other Jewish occasions, usually but not always outside a formal religious organization, ).

no, but the community is quite active. Lubavitch but comprehensive:
