...any input about this town/area outside of Boone? I am finding very little about it here on CD. I am also searching online... Thanks! Donna

It's not an incorporated town, but rather a "community." You might try googling Cove Creek too. I might be roundly put in my place, but I think that they're sort of interchangeable. The area is a beautiful part of Watauga County, west of Boone. My impression is that natives, as well as more recent residents, have a very strong sense of community. It's quite rural but easily accessible to Boone.

Is it a Subdivision?? If it is... no wonder I couldn't find anything on it. Thanks! Donna

not a subdivision

just a place where people live near each other

understand the confusion

stand to be corrected but I do not think it is a subdivision

just a place where people live near each other

there may have been a store at one time or something like that

GOOG Maps is your friend...looks like a building or two, on a road...a few other houses in the vicinity via the aerial view, depending upon zoom level. A 'community' it is, at its largest. We have ridden/driven US 321 nearby: very good/fun road.

Still has it's own PO and zip code. And a store . . . Cove Creek Grocery where Old 421 peels off of US-321.

SUGAR GROVE, NC - ZIP Code Database, ZIP Code Maps

It's a very beautiful place to live, brutally cold in winter, gorgeous mild weather in summer, peaceful and crime free (mostly), and only 20 to 30 minutes to Boone. Rents are fair if you can find them. Also search out Vilas and Zionville, the neighboring postal zones.
