Husband and I just moved to Raleigh and want to visit Asheville in the fall.
Does anyone have any experience with Brown Dog Tours? We're doing mountain biking with them and also have river rafting and caving plans.

Any other recommendations for tour groups? We are already familiar with Biltmore tours...
How about an affordable hotel? b&b you like?

thanks

My best advice, book quickly. We are getting very close to fall and many things are already booked up.

We just booked a hotel in Hendersonville for two weeks in October because we couldn't find a B&B available for a two-week time period. Hotels are booking up fast, too--we got one of the last rooms. You might want to consider a cabin in the woods, which would be awesome in October, but I’m thinking most people don’t think of cabins when they book, so more of those might still be available.

Good luck, have fun!

Jan
