I guess it depends where in Edgemont -- its also close to the village of Scarsdale. I am sure you are aware of this...I have a very close friend who grew up in Edgemont and now lives in the village of Scarsdale. In terms of schools, she wishes they lived in Edgemont for her kids.
Do you really think the quality of the school is better or the parents are more educated than other areas? I hear it is very asian who are typically from education first households. Do you think if you simply send your kid to Edgemont he will get a great education?
Did I say ME? I said my good friend who grew up in and graduated from Edgemont Schools and now lives in Scarsdale and sends her kids to Scarsdale Schools.
She is Jewish BTW. She probably has a better informed opinion than either of us.
It was a statement. Did not mean to aim at you. I just think "great schools" has everything to do with the highly educated parents and income for additional tutoring/courses. I don't think the teachers at these high scoring schools are any smarter or better than teachers at lower scoring schools in Westchester.

Why do Jews feel compelled to live near each other?
No one posts to find Polish-American areas.
If you were Jewish and had people in your town tell you they dislike Jews maybe you would understand.
