Wondering if anyone here lives in Weirton? My mother does and she is elderly and lives alone. I've stressed to her that she is NOT to got out but I haven't seen that Kroger is offering free delivery of things to seniors. She is worried about when she runs out of milk and what meat is in her freezer - any thoughts?

A lot of people are banding together to get things for residents that can't make it out. I know my neighborhood in Columbus is.

Check with her neighbors. Check with her church if she goes. Anything like that, even some random local facebook pages. I've seen a ton of posts asking if anyone needs help. People are usually more than happy to help out.

Thank you for responding - she lives in an apartment (but it's set up more like a motel) for seniors, low-income, etc. - a neighbor she is friends w/doesn't drive and keeps calling her to ask her to drive him or lend him her car so he can go get ice cream!! I keep stressing to her over and over and over - DO NOT go out - you can survive on what you have. When I go there I bring a carload of staples, etc. She may have to live on canned veggies but she can survive - not sure why that isn't really sinking in - sigh.
