Here in WPa, the rains of the last week or so have taken a lot of the leaves, so you might be a couple of weeks late.

As I do for many things ( ), in general I'd recommend Tucker, Randolph, Pocahontas and Greenbrier counties (i.e., along Rte 219). At this point in the season, the best of what's left is probably in either the Eastern Panhandle, or in the West (Huntington/Charleston) or South (Princeton/Bluefield).

The Forest Festival in Elkins is always the 1st weekend in October for a reason.

Was on I-79 today from Clendenin to Stonewall and the leafs were still vibrant. If you adventure Eastward off the highway, you will see some great colors!

Anywhere that hasnt been stripped mine. All of WV is a naturally beautiful state. A great view is Cranberry glades in Canaan Valley. You can see the valley and the mountains around it.

We drove across 50 east to Cool Springs then turned down Rt 72 last week. Colors were there until we got close to Canaan Valley and they were gone. I-79 S to Princeton may still have some color but the mountains may not produce much right now if Canaan was any indication.
