The private schools available for Autism in the Palm Beach County area are geared toward mid-low functioning. Haven't seen any private schools that work with High Functioning/ADHD in the county as of yet. There are two in WPB that I have heard great things about, one of them mentioned in this thread. Now PBCSB will write an IEP or 504 for you to receive accommodations in the public school system. However, there are no autism units in the Northern Palm Beach county area. So if you are High Functioning with a 504/IEP you will be mainstreamed with teachers that are supposed to adhere to your accommodations. which in my experience you have to fight tooth & nail for and its exhausting. The teachers are not familiar with austism traits/tendencies in mainstream classes. They have a lot on their plate with what the district gives them to do as it is. It is very taxing on them to help your student, even when they have the best of intentions.
I was literally told that there are better accommodations, autism units in private schools that are geared towards all ends of the spectrum further south in Broward/Miami/Dade (or) north towards Jacksonville. I have heard that the Public Schools in Broward/Miami/Dade are very good for all ends of the spectrum as well. I also recall that there was some great school on the Gulf Coast close to Tallahassee? I can't remember the county or school, sorry.
