Does anyone know about the 27 hole golf course being built at South County Park?

When will it open?

Costs to play?

Residence only?

Thank you

Yeah it's called Osprey Point and it's in the South County Regional Park, but it's on hold. They started work a few years ago.

Don't forget, most of the nice ones require $$$ county club membership so this one would be more than welcome for the average PBC resident.

Exactly. And what are golf courses ugly or something? I wonder if they rather have another strip mall?

You can say that again, suits me fine if they level the Wellington Green Mall and turn it into some links, should say the mall that replaced the Palm Beach Mall and all the clientele.

There are 2 other courses not too far away from this proposed one that are open to the public. Southwind on Lyons between Glades and Yamato is in the process of (finally) replacing their clubhouse. It was torn down after Wilma took the roof off the place. Then there's the course that's off Glades between Lyons and the Turnpike.

That part of the park that is getting the golf course was originally slated to have the area open for camping. Unfortunately the NIMBYs that live around there put a stop to that.

Thank you. Yeah I have played Southwinds a few times.
Interesting about the camping grounds. I believe the area is too residential for camping grounds. Then again Im biased because I am a golfer.

And NOT too residential for an amphitheater that plays loud concerts?
