We have a large dog and 2 cats. We are wondering how hard it is going to be to find a complex that will allow all 3 animals. My dog is a lab mix and will probably be around 65lbs when she's full grown. We are looking in Pompano Beach, Boynton Beach and in between. Any suggestions? Thanks!

buying or renting? I know of a guy renting out a nice home in Boynton for 1600 a month that would probably take the pets. He would ask for a pet deposit, but I think it would be doable. 65 lbs is pretty big for most complexes but they are out there.

We are definitely looking to rent at first. It's just the 2 of us so we're only looking for a 2 bedroom and would like to keep rent under $1100. Have a feeling it's going to be easier finding a job than an apartment with our pets. I've been using rent.com and apartment.com but have a feeling the ones that say pets ok have more guidelines than that. If anyone know of a specific complex, that would be great, thanks! If not, have a feeling we'll be renting a house (which I prefer but hubby does not).

There are some houses in Boynton for rent in your range now. Staying south of Woolbright on the East side might be a good idea. I prefer the area south of the hospital. Most complexes have a nonrefundable pet deposit, which is just a FEE, for having pets.

Most condos do not allow renters to have pets, you can get away with cats maybe, but not dogs.

I've seen the non refundable fee....and then many require a monthly fee on top of that. One I saw had a $600 fee which I found to be shocking. Thanks for the area. Where do you suggest looking up homes for rent? Never seem to find any on rent.com or apartments.com.
