Hi All
I am new to this board and was wondering if you lovely people could help me i am looking for a for a roommate to share a large 2bedroom/2bathroom Apartment i have posted on craigslist but have heard a few horror stories from friends about people that have contacted them! Any other way i can advertize safely?

I wish I could be of more help to you, but I have heard nothing but horror stories as well. Maybe there is someplace where you work that you could post something - at least that way you'd know they were employed and at least know SOMETHING about them. Even asking for references from a complete stranger doesn't mean anything, so I've been told. I would never get a complete stranger for a roomate in south Florida. You're just asking for trouble. Talk to people you know and ask them if they know anyone or could ask around to other friends they know.
