This Southern Californian is curious as I'm about to go pick some tomatoes, zucchini and jalapenos out of our garden.
I live in PBC and have grown anything from zucchini, eggplant, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, parsley, beans etc. The growing season is generally from Sept/Oct to May/June. You can grow sweet potatoes in the summer for example. There are a bunch of excellent books by Monica Brandeis Books on Gardening in Florida by Monica Brandies on gardening in FL.

My 2 cents.

That is fantastic info! Wow. Thank you so much. I had just been looking for books. If we make this move (which I think we will) then I will definitely be getting books by that woman you have recommended. Thank you! Excellent info.

You are welcome. Post a message when you do move and I can point you to other resources. Your local extension office is your best friend!
