These are a few of my favorite shots from the Wakodahatchee Wetlands located in west Delray Beach Florida.

In this 50 acre man made ecosystem there are over 140+ bird species, alligators, raccoons, marsh rabbits, and iguanas.

The 3/4 mile boardwalk is open to the public for free from sunrise to sunset. I highly recommend a visit if you live in the area.

The last picture is of three of the four young raccoons we spotted out digging for food with their mother. Later in the visit there was a tense few moments when the whole family got very close to an alligator quietly waiting in a canal. But don't worry, they all got by safely.

I discovered the wetlands about 6 years ago in art school. It's a great place to walk and sketch. Your photos are fabulous. Gumbo Limbo is another super location--; although not so much wildlife..more flora and fauna.
