Hi all,

I will be travelling to Orlando on the Amtrak, due to limited direct flights. I plan to take the Amtrak from the DelRay station. I was wondering if the area is safe, as I have never been in the area before, or if the West Palm Beach Station is better. Also, if you know of any better way to travel to Orlando please let me know. I do not drive, so unfortunately that's not an option. Any help appreciated!

You'll be fine there. It was the old station that was the problem.

The TriRail security guys are always hanging out there.

I've taken Amtrak from the Deerfield station on Hillsboro to Orlando a couple of times and absolutely loved it.

They route is full service (with food car) and even has sleeper cabins.

There is a van service that provides service to Orlando from Boca for about 50/one way, but the drop off points are limited.

yah but I think you have to get out of Florida first and then go through Texas, unless you want to go up north further and then head west from Va or NY.

I looked at it a few years ago and don't remember the particulars. Check out Amtrak.com
