There is a hole in my lawn. I don't know if the hole goes all the way under because of the grass. There is some dirt around the hole, which makes me think it's some creature, but I am not sure if it' was caused by a creature or not....I can fit almost my whole foot in this hole. I am a size 12 shoe (men). I really want to get this fixed asap, since I have kids and a dog. That and I don't want the yard to get worse. I live in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Anyone have any idea why this happened and who I can call to help me fix this?

That is a pre-sinkhole......within 12 hours it will be big enough to swallow a golf cart, within 36 hours it will take your whole house and part of your neighbors house. If you want to save some stuff be sure to go out the back door and never slam the door because it will cause the hole to open further!

Seriously......it could be a broken sprinkler head, it could be an animal burrowing. Dig around it and see if you find a broken sprinkler, if not fill it will some dirt and move on.....

It looks like it may be moles. They sometimes can be hard to get rid of. call a pest control person or your lawn person. they should know

If you have raised ground going towards the hole then yes a mole.

Could be a small sinkhole. I would dig around this hole and investigate.
