Electric will depend if it has central air or window shakers but I wouldn't think it would be more than $50 a month.

Internet will not be included in fees, probably $40 a month through the cable company.

HOA can vary between units especially if they are trying to save money to do a roof or re-do the parking lot (bump monthly dues to avoid big special assessments). $200 a month would be probably a low estimate.

Condo insurance will be cheap, the building is insured by the HOA, you just have to insure your unit (inside only) and based on the low values of the units then the insurance can't be more than a few hundred a year.

Re the monthly fees:

This is not solid info anyone should base their decision on, but I'm posting just to help people know a question to ask in doing their own research.

Just based on my impression from what I've seen online as someone looking to possibly buy there, if I saw a fee listed anywhere near this low (as what the previous poster has said) in CV, I would expect to find out that the real estate agent has listed the individual condo association fee without adding in the amenities/services fee (which, again, I could be wrong, but my understanding is these fees that cover clubhouse, buses, etc. are mandatory). So I would expect the total monthly fee to be significantly higher.

City__Darter from what I hear you are more than correct. The HOA's differ from building to building the last I knew, but they were very high. CV is pretty well built. The AC costs are variable depending on how low you want to go. We keep our 2,500 sq house cooled w/two central units on two zones for under $200.00 a month during August. But we keep the thermostats(programmable) set to 77, not 72.

The benefit of the high HO fees show in how well the property around the building appears. Plus there are a lot of amenity's in CV for older folks.

Word of caution to anyone looking at Condo's/Gated community's down here. Read the HO bible BEFORE you decide to buy. If they don't offer you a copy, or put you off, RUN!
