I have always taken an interest in watching clouds. Predicting what weather will come from them, watching them develop, move, transform, whatever... They are just a lot of fun to look at.

What are your favorite clouds?

I am perpetually fascinated by cumulonimbus.

Days like this can't be beat:

This (first photo)is common afternoon cloud here for 5-6 months. I like it because it signifies settled weather, and a warm night (relatively speaking). The second cloud means heavy rain is coming soon.

Yup. I'm always starring at the clouds. Been fascinated since I was 7.
Formation, type, or just the flow.

It's also fun to watch part of it evaporate on nice dry days.

They're all my favorites but I really like Cirrus (wispy high altitude ice crystal clouds)
& Cirrocumulus & Altocumulus

I especially watching clouds moving from the North or NorthEast since it's not as many times seeing that here.

We do get a marine layer & "low clouds" a lot moving from the East though

My favorite cloud formation is stratus, and I especially like clouds when its below freezing because it implies snow.

I love the strong sun being blocked.

Funny, if I saw a sky like the first photo in the southeast US, I would expect heavy rain is imminent.

The first photo is just typical convection, and may have isolated heavy showers, but they seldom extend over the coastal plains. The second photo is pre warm front cloud, and it's pretty safe to say that it will be raining within about 12 hours.
