Yes, I like my weather varied. It's just so dry here and it's been drier than average this year (much drier in fact). It's the only thing I really don't like about the weather here.

This October is off to a pretty good start though. Just got a good rainstorm this weekend and next weekend looks to have an even colder storm with snow possible!

excuse me how come the National Weather Service has wrong data? This is not possible! That's the official American weather web-site! Don't show me stupid weather sites like wunderground. The National Weather Service says the OFFICIAL DATA in USA!

NOAA's National Weather Service - National Climate
I lol'd at that. I do agree with the rest of your post apart from the bolded BUT Could it be that possibly the climate stats are taken in different places from either other? I see Stevo-o's one are from Chicago DuPage, IL which I beleive is Western Chicago? Might provide the changes.

Theres hardly a difference minus the website name. BOTH sites show what exactly happened that day, its not like we're talking forecasting here. We're talking weather history, and I find the NWS's data that you provided to be contradictory. And besides, wunderground is more thorough, providing an exact weather history for your exact town, not just region.
