Water levels starting to go up, but probably gonna go up higher tomorrow morning as rain from further upstream makes its way down.

OK, now here are some photos from my recent trip to New Zealand.

Day of arrival into Auckland.

Rain moving into Wellington Harbour.

We had some very heavy rain in Waitomo but on the Saturday afternoon we did get some nice sunny breaks.

These are while the fog lifted from the Waitangi Treaty Grounds that we visited as we made our way up to Northland.

And these are some magnificent kauri trees during a rainy day in the Puketi forest near Kerikeri, Northland.

Here's a view of Cable Bay and its beach as the next round of rain moved in.

This round of rain was particularly heavy--to the point of causing localized pluvial flooding.

Here's the last batch from the trip up to Cape Reinga, latitude 34° 25′ 43.68″ S and almost the most northern spot on the North Island.

The best parts of the Northland region are the Tutukaka Coast near Whangarei and the Bay of Islands
staying at the picture perfect seaside town of Russell.
