I kind of think that it makes the warm days seem even nicer.

I don't mind it. I live in Arizona originally from Alaska. The heat is nice but when I was in Denver 3 weeks ago, it was nice and brisk. It felt good. I kinda miss those winter days with some snow and cold temps.

I personally don't mind cold weather, but I am conscious of the fact that it really does make some people miserable. I've seen seasonal depression first hand in friends and family members - it can get ugly.

Also, on a side note - it always makes me laugh when I hear teenagers rave on about how much they want to move away to live in opposite weather conditions. The grass always seems greener on the other side, doesn't it? It's just funny how teenagers here in the desert southwest claim to love cold weather when they've never been in it for more than a few days at a time! They have no idea what it's like to freeze for months at a time and shovel snow. Likewise, teenagers back in my midwestern hometown dream of moving south for a warmer climate, but have never experienced 110 degree summers. Kids are funny.

EDIT: Not aimed at you, of course, dxi. Your comment just reminded me of some kids in my neighborhood.

I don't really mind cold weather. Not extreme cold, of course, but 30s and 40s doesn't bother me much, at least during the winter.

Generally speaking, I'd prefer temperatures in the 40s to temperatures in the 90s.

I totally agree. The past two weeks here have been beautiful. Temps have been in the 60s and 70s, sun has been shining, birds have been chirping, and people have been outside working in their yards. Shoot, the ice cream truck has been through the neighborhood several times!!

I think people that live in this kind of climate all the time probably don't notice the birds, the sun, the flowers, etc. I don't love winter, but i think the snow is beautiful and i like the new life that comes back every spring.

I like cold, down to 0 is fine with me. I don't care for anything above 90. My kids grew up here in CO and like it HOT in summer, cuz that's the way it's supposed to be for them.

I LOVE cold weather! I hate it when it gets over 70 not matter how low the humidity is, of course living in Houston low humidity is rare and so is cold weather.
