Nice! We need to keep adding our season totals up. We need to beat speagles totals! It's a race.
We should do a contest next year.. Which CD member will get the most snow.
Keep us posted what's going on with this one.. Wish I had time to cover entire country..
Yeah, I had a lot of stratus clouds today but mine was low clouds from the ocean though..
Actually yours was too.. Check it out! Only now the Clipper clouds are moving in.
Not gonna catch me now snowing decently hard again, should be up to 33" or 34" by tomorrow morning! I dont think I'll get much out of the next one though
The county it is in is large in area, and so includes areas expected to see the conditions that call for a "Warning."
Looks like entire area could see frozen stuff of freezing rain and sleet. "Area Wide". Should start changing north to south as the front pushes down. Seeing some extra moisture on radar now vs 4 hrs ago.

Damn! 30+ already? I got some catching up to do. Only 21" here.. Tomorrow night should bring me to 25" I think.
Doesn't seem like the first time we saw this type of setup this winter. Talking about the Northeast movement of moisture across the U.S. Nice to see moisture continues to be around to give everyone that chance.
5:40-9:40pmCST loop and who's reporting what.. Snowy evening in Arkansas & Kentucky. Entering Tennessee now. Starting to change over in Texas as the front pushes south
Here was the front at 6pmCST.. Use link to see updates every ~4 hrs or so.
Big 1048mb Canadian High dropping down. Arctic High really.

I'm aware of that, I was explaining why Harris County specifically fell under a "warning," while there were still counties nextdoor staying as "advisory."

Yup, got it. Just pointing out what NWS Houston said. Stay safe..
These cold fronts are pushing much farther south this year compared to other years. Multiple winter events on the Gulf Coast, while the Plains are cold and dry (and may be in for a very bad drought this coming spring/summer).

I think some areas of the states are already in some drought but yeah, I saw some thinking/forecasts that the Plains would be in bad drought come spring. Might have something to do with la Nina.
5amCST map.. Freezing rain in Austin. Light snow in other areas... Light stuff but a little is enough to cause problems in the south. Still liquid in Houston but might be changed over in the colder suburbs
So close to Alexandria now.
Updated Alerts.. Warnings issued for CT/MA/VT/NH now
