Awful day. Nothing but rain since this morning. Currently 49 with rain.

It got to 52 earlier, the 5th straight high in the 50s. That's the longest streak since February 21-25.

Monday could be near 80 but will likely fall short of the daily record of 85. Sunday and Tuesday will also be near 70, but then back down to 50s and sun. After tomorrow, the forecast looks very nice.

Current temps and radar. Still lightning and thundering. Harder now. Brighter lightning.

Torrential Rains Part 2 now.

Hahahaha. Just like that. Silence. Even the map isn't showing any lightning around. GOOD! Could be pulsing and it will come back or something happened that stabilized things.

Past 2 hour loop. The reds (40dbz+) are torrential rains dropping over 1/2-1" easily in 15 minutes time.

Lightning and Thunder associated with each wave hitting me from Long Island. Rain drops huge.

I think the thunder and lightning are dissipating as it heads interior

0.66" at 5pm
0.90" at 5:20pm
1/4" of rain in 20 minutes. Still coming down.

oh wow, and up here it feels like a cold not very energetic storm. Too chilly for thunder or a deluge. Ominous looking in Virginia:

Wrightwood, California has 1/3 the precipitation in April as in March, but for some reason has more snow!

It's raining on the summit of Mt. Washington, temperature right around freezing. So I doubt it's snowing anywhere in New England right now.

Low 40s here with lightning and thunder and downpour felt weird.

It's on your way now. Hartford reporting Thunderstorm but probably a weak one. Yellow = moderate rain but I don't see downpours for you just yet. Maybe by 7pm?

Always funny seeing storms hit here between 4-7pm. That seems the common thing for us here.

Will Bridgeport break their no 2"+ streak today?????? 3rd longest on record.

It was chilly, overcast and rainy all day but about a half an hour ago, the rain stopped, the clouds started to break up and now, just twenty minutes later, the sun is out and the sky is all clear. Weird.
