Oops. I'll change it.

78 F at 11 AM wouldn't be bad at all actually considering it's been 85 F, 86 F, and 83 F the last three days respectively at that time.

Could see some 90ºF readings in Kentucky this week. Currently the warmest day in my forecast is Wednesday with a high of 87.

Summerlike temperatures took a hiatus Sunday afternoon, as a lake-enhanced cold front pushed inland across the area. The onset of northeast winds and falling temperatures was most noticeable across suburban areas. Early afternoon readings of 85 degrees were observed in Kankakee, with 83 reported at Sugar Grove. By 7 p.m., these areas had dropped to the low and mid 60s. Lakeside locations such as Waukegan and Northerly Island held in the mid 50s through the day.
This downturn in temperature will be brief. The front that raced through the area Sunday will stall across central Illinois by Monday morning. It is then forecast to lift north as a warm front. Scattered thunderstorms may erupt across portions of the area as tropical air surges back Monday night

Lake cooling will be more limited today than it was yesterday. City airports and much of the city away from the lake will be close to 80 degrees

The forecast of kakn...kankan...kakneek...that second place looks dreamy

Sadly the warmth will wait until after my birthday to show up. Today looks like it will be cloudy and chilly again, at least the clouds don't affect the weather as much in May as they would in early spring

Lol yeah... that station is about 7 miles to my south, while MDW is 35 miles north of me. Better enjoy it because long range is not promising. I fear the worst for this summer

Main reason is too much rain in Midwest. Wil keep temps cooler, and cause feedback.

Case in point

At least today looks very nice

This forecast bumps ORD to 84F... But look at Navy Pier in downtown Chicago. Only 55F by 6PM which is usually the time that lake winds push on shore....

6-10 day already looking very cool again
