The smaller tube overflowed with the storm we had yesterday evening, so I needed to use the overflow tube as well. A very small amount spilled down the side of the gauge as I was pouring right at first...
I measured 1.13 inches, and the digital gauge shows 1.18 inches.

Do you think it's possible 0.05" fell out? I hate when that happens. That's why I do mine over an empty glass. This way anything that spills I can simply re measure.

Goes to show how "localized" the rains and storms are. Not enough are reporting from your county so you wont see it listed.
Did you see Rhode Island and Eastern MA? Over an inch in spots and check out how screwed that neighborhood was that got a Trace while just south of there over an inch!

Check over the summer thread: spots nearby got extremely heavy rain and hail. Still might not be a huge total due to short duration but it had to be something.
So I was curious if they used some reports from cocorahs ... Sure enough... they did. The others must be public, social media, or coop reports. Guess they just picked a few to show from cocorahs

I don't think it was that much, but I'm not sure. Yeah, I need to use a pan or something next time in case it spills out.
