No, I think everyone who wants to discuss current weather just does it. Current weather is sometimes very uneventful here, so I'm happy about these other things.

That's an easy question to answer - it's because Justin Trudeau is da man. (him being a hottie doesn't hurt, either...lol.)

If only the US could elect someone as cool as this guy...sigh.

Erm, just the one.

I did go back and read a bit about why the NDP went down so badly - looks like they messed things up and many folks didn't feel they could be trusted to lead the country.

In any case, it sure is nice to see Harper gone - and relations between the US and Canada should improve.

Yeah, something like that. Perhaps Mulcair had a bit to do with it, he seems to be fairly hit-and-miss with people. I think if Jack Layton were still around and leading the party they would've done better.

I voted NDP myself as they were the dominant party in my riding and I didn't wanna risk losing our seat to Harper, but if I'd known how big of a landslide this election was gonna be I would've voted for the Liberals for sure. In my riding it came down to like 500 votes between the two of them, Conservatives solidly in last place.

Also I'm happy to report that this is the highest voter turnout since 1993 - the numbers are still trickling in but so far it's over 68% turnout.

So the personal views or character of the candidates for your district don't matter in who you vote for?

Agreed, the weather here is the same for six months, so my current conditions are not interesting or just the same a lot of the time.

I'm worried that the Republicans are gonna win in 2016. As much as the GOP is a clown car full of crazies right now, the Democratic side has several dull Mulclair types running, a woman who has questionable ethics, and a guy who is well to the left of the mainstream Democrats. Unfortunately AM radio and Fox Propaganda (sorry, I meant Fox "News") has too much of a stranglehold on 1/3 of the population here, and that 1/3 are the most dedicated voters in the US. Clinton will NOT get the vote out like Obama could, and neither will Sanders
